Great Mexican! Bring your appetite, huge portions! Clean fun atmosphere too. Friendly staff. It's a smaller place so it would probably not be great for groups of more than 8-10 people. Reasonably priced; most entrees are going to be less than $10. HUGE PORTIONS!

We had a craving for some good Mexican food and this place hit the spot! Great to be able to get Mexican food in town. I had the Carne Asada tacos and a Margarita, both were excellent. Service was great also. We will return for sure.

Stopped in for takeout after a long bicycle ride. The special was a pork burrito. It was excellent. The chips are spectacular and the salsa is homemade. I would definitely go back! Great family-run place!

Went here for dinner on a Saturday night with 13 other friends. It's not very big but the decor is bright and cheery and the place including the women's restroom was squeaky clean. The wait staff were all great and super friendly. I ordered the seafood enchiladas with real crab meat and shrimp and they were muy bueano! The shrimp were not the microscopic bay shrimp but bigger and very flavorful. The refried beans and the rice were great. Did I mention the margaritas? Holy delightfulness! We ordered the Fiesta version with a floater of Grand Marnier and top shelf Tequila. Wonderful! Next time I am in Lake City I will definitely go back to this little gem!!

Had to make a Lake City run the other week and decided to stop for lunch. Heard there was a new Mexican place in LC--found it. Plopped down in a booth, looked at the menu and it seemed oddly familiar. Ah-HA! This place is owned by the same people who Fiesta Mexicana in Red Wing. Same menu. Same good food and service.

Great salsa (tastes authentic), rice, and beans but my tamale and burrito tasted a little off. Overall a lot of food for your buck. You will definitely leave full. Great service as well.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
